CHICAGO, Illinois—May 9, 2005—Gabriel Cuevas got off his lazy ass today and posted a new version of gabrielcuevas.com and in the process unleashed waves of peace and good will.

World leaders are expected to meet in special sessions to discuss the growing calm and well being that has been linked to the site’s launch.  UN peacekeepers in previously war-torn countries have reported that there is little for them to do.  It is unclear as to how the ability to be hostile has been removed from human consciousness, but experts say it must be the website.

According to one New Jersey State Trooper the effects of the web site have been nothing short of miraculous, “It’s been amazing to see drivers yielding.  I haven’t been flipped off all day!”

Mr. Cuevas himself seemed quite unaware of the extent of his coding prowess.  “I just hand-coded some pages and stole some style sheets from popular sites.  Nothing fancy.”  In typical understated style, Gabriel seemed surprised and confused by all the attention his pages seemed to generate.  “I just hope my host can handle the traffic.  I haven’t even gotten my Hiphop pages up.  Now I really have to get moving.  Anyone know how can I make some money on this?”

That remains to be seen.  One possible money maker depends on this year’s Nobel Peace Prize Committee. “The short list has just gotten shorter. I’m just glad that Bono is no longer in the running,” said Ole Fullman, Chairman of the committee.

Originally designed to be repository for all things Gabriel, from his new-found love of triathlon and pugs to his wish to spread true Hiphop culture across the world, the site has suddenly taken on greater significance. “I don’t know how this all happened or what it all means. All I can do is keep coding and adding pages. It’s really about following what I feel and believe in. Hopefully people out there have some use for this stuff. The whole peace and love and harmony thing is cool too. Oh, and thanks to Stv for answering all my annoying questions about HTML.”

Still in shock, Gabriel was hopeful about the future, “I guess it just hasn’t sunken in yet. Maybe version 2.0 will have some Flash that will fix the hole in the ozone and eliminate our dependence on oil.”
